In addition to sidewalks on nearly every street, the village also has several parks in town as well as wooded trails just a mile outside of Waterville.

Babbott Park Playground

Information:

This beautiful park is located in the center of Waterville just off Rte.12. Complete with a baseball field, playground, pavilion, tennis, basketball and pickleball courts, a 1/4 mile paved walking path and plenty of lawn space for picnics and playing. Entrances are located on Babbott Ave. and also on Rte.12 across from Saint Bernards Catholic Church.

Babbott Park has bathrooms onsite near the baseball field. The restrooms are only open during the warm months, usually late April to mid October.

Hours:

The park is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk.

Park Facility Use:

Babbott Park is open to the public. Any individual who wishes to uses the pavilion, playground, green space, or courts for special events may do so, but the Village does not reserve any of the spaces for private parties. If an organization wishes to use any part of the park for regularly scheduled functions, please call the Village Clerk’s Office at 315-841-4221 or complete a Facility Use Form.

Reservoir Trails

Address: Upper White Street & Reservoir Road
Rte. 20 & Janis Road

Information:

Located on Reservoir Road only 2 miles outside of the village. This public trail system is perfect for mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and running. It has 27 miles of trails that connect to the Albert J. Woodford Memorial State Park (Janis Road) and also connects to the highest point in Oneida County.

There are 3 parking areas; one on Reservoir Road, on upper White Street and on Rte.20 by Janis Road. The parking area on Reservoir Road also has a picnic table and a bathroom. Trail maps can be found on the Trailforks app.

Hours:

The trails are open year round from dawn to dusk.

Restrictions:

Motorized vehicles are not allowed.
Horses are only allowed on the Albert J. Woodford Memorial State Park trails (located off of Rte.20 on Janis Road)

Village Green Bandstand Memorial

Address: Rte. 12 & Madison Street

Information:

This beautiful park is conveniently located in the center of Rte.12, Madison Street and Park Place. It’s shady trees, picnic tables and benches make it the perfect spot to picnic. The bandstand hosts village concerts as well as other events. Be sure to check out this spot on Wednesday nights in July and August for our summer concerts!

The park is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk.
